Jessie's Girl Liquid liner Review

I've been using drugstore liquid eyeliner for a while and everything just seems satisfactory. Nothing has ever thrown me out of the park. In June I was sent an IPSY bag (that I'm subscribed to with my own money) with Jesse's Girl Liquid eyeliner. I've never heard of this brand nor have I ever seen it in any stores. I was reluctant to try it at the beginning but I applied it once and I've been reaching for it ever since.

Jessie's Girl Liquid Eyeliner - $6.99 USD

I can't emphasize exactly how much I love this eyeliner. It's amazing. I've been using this eyeliner for five months straight and it is still doing it's job. I recently went to the states looking for this item in Rite Aid and it was no where to be found. I went to three different stores and each time I left disappointed. I guess the only way to get your hands on this product is to order from their website.

I've used this for five months now and it is slowly starting to lose it's pigmentation. The eyeliner stays on all day and it is also waterproof. I would put this on the morning and it'll stay on till night time. It removes easily with makeup remover.

The liner dries matte, so it's good if that's the look you like. With this eyeliner it is VERY easy to apply. The tip is pointy and it's very easy to maneuver. You can easily achieve the classic winged look. It is also very affordable.

Do you have any eyeliner that you're loving at the moment? If so, let me know!

Much love,
Cindy.

MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible Cover Foundation Review

Shade: 127

I always hated my skin, especially since I was in middle school. I started wearing foundation at a young age because I wanted to hide my skin. I wanted to hide all of my pimples, and imperfection. Right from the beginning I started of using MAC studio fix foundation because my older sister used it. I've used it all the way through middle school and high school. Throughout those years, I must have used up at least 8 bottles. I was never adventurous when it came to foundations but I decided to change my foundation and boy, was there ever a difference.

Compared to the MAC studio fix foundation it is a little pricy, but it is so worth it. I never knew how thick and full coverage the consistency for MAC foundations were until I tried something else. MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible cover foundation is light on the skin and it gives you light to medium coverage, which is perfect.

I used to break out a lot when I used MAC's foundation but I was very hesitant to switch. Using MAKE UP FOR EVER's foundation broke me out less. I have very sensitive skin and this worked just fine.

I should probably talk about my skin type next. I have combination skin. My cheeks are dry and my t-zone is oily. I'm sure a lot of you guys can probably relate. This foundation didn't make me look oiler and it stayed on my face all day!

The foundation is buildable and you can definitely get full coverage if you keep more to your face without looking cakey.

The foundation gives me flawlessly looking skin and it photographs pretty.

MAKE UP FOR EVER HD Invisible cover foundation comes in 26 shades so you'll for sure find the perfect shade for you. The selection is amazing and you can always go to Sephora to get your Colour IQ done and they'll give you the perfect shade for your face.

This is a staple piece for your makeup collection as it is simply a good foundation. It is a little expensive but you probably won't regret it. I'm already two bottles in of this foundation and I have NO REGRETS.

Do you have any recommendations on which foundation to use? What's your all time favourite foundation? Tell me below

Much love,
Cindy.

Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder

I was trying to find a matte bronzer that I can use to contour my face and I came across this little gem. I was actually  contemplating on getting this bronzer or the NARS Laguna Bronzing Powder - $45 CAD. I went with this one because there's no shimmer.

Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder - $46 CAD
The packaging is sleek looking and it's glossy. The bronzer comes in five shades; light, natural, medium, dark, and deep. The bronzer is very pigmented and it does last all day. When applying it goes on smooth and it's very blendable.

I got the colour in deep. I was told by the beauty advisor working at Sephora that this was the perfect colour for contouring. While I was in the store I was very hesitant to buy this colour because it was WAY too dark for me. I bought it anyways because I was desperate for a good bronzer.

The next day I tried on this bronzer and I was in love. Since the colour is really dark I had to be careful once applying it on my face. I put on a very small amount and I made sure the BLEND the heck out of my face. Extra time for blending is always a good thing! The bronzer made me look as if I just returned from a trip from Hawaii.

I liked how the colour of the bronzer is not orange and it doesn't make you look like an Oompa loompa (but if that's the look you're trying to achieve, try something else!).

There's also no shimmer in the bronzer which is a bonus for me. Since there's no shimmer it's alot more natural looking.

The mirror that comes with the bronzer is good. It's not plastic and cheap like other products
Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Deep
This is a swatch from the bronzer. As you can see it is very dark. I use a very small amount to contour my face and it does the job. If you're looking for a new bronzer, perhaps this can be on your must buy make up lists.

Is there any other bronzers you guys are loving? If so, feel free to suggestions in the comments.

Much love,
Cindy.

Tarte Tres Chic Park Avenue Princess Contour Palette Review

Can we just take a moment and appreciate the packaging of this palette. I walked into Sephora the other day, with every intention to buy the NARS Virtual Domination Palette - $75 CAD. I swatched the colours of the NARS palette and I wasn't that impressed with it. However, I picked up the palette regardless and started walking around Sephora, until this beauty caught my eyes.

Tarte Tres Chic Park Avenue Princess Contour Palette - $41 CAD
This palette comes with Tarte's Amazonian clay matte waterproof bronzer in Park Ave Princess, Amazonian clay 12-hour blush in Posh (pale pink), and Amazonian clay highlighter in Champagne Gold.

The colour is a lot more pigmented in person. I wish I can show you the highlighter swatch a lot better but because of the colour of the highlighter it is not showing up on camera as well. The texture is very smooth and blendable.

The colour used in this palette is little light, so I recommend this palette to those with light to medium skin tones. I can't say it enough but the packaging is so beautiful. Some of you might find it tacky but I just love the colour of it. One thing that I don't like about the packaging is that you can leave fingerprints/residue all over the palette. With this palette, it is very easy to achieve the 'glowing' look that everyone seems to be reaching for nowadays. I also love how the bronzer is matte, so it's more natural looking when you are trying to contour your face.

The palette is at a reasonable price. You do get for what you pay for. The good thing about this palette is that you will probably end up using all three colours and none of it will go to waste. Sometimes in palettes you always reach for certain colours and the others go unloved. The palette is a reasonable size so you can simply fit into your makeup bag, purse, etc... with ease.

I applied this in the morning and went out all day. At the end of the night, the bronzer did disappear a little bit. The blush stayed on; however, be careful when applying the blush because it is very pigmented. The colour of the blush is also amazing as it looks very natural. The highlighter stayed on as well. I'm not that big of a fan of the highlighter because it is a little light but it's perfect for achieving the 'ohhh...I'm glowing look without looking like a Cullens".

Overall, the palette is a good buy.

Those who own the NARS Virtual Domination Palette, tell me what you think. Are you loving any other palettes recently?

Much love,
Cindy.
